Derinkuyu Underground City, TR

There are a lot of ancient underground cities in Cappadocia.  Derinkuryu in Nevsehir Province is a multi level underground city that can shelter thousands of people and domestic animals.  There you can find food stores, kitchens, stalls,  churches, wine production places, ventilation chimneys, water wells and missionary school.

Registered to the World Heritage List in 1985
