These are the animal shaped fairy chimneys. Fairy chimneys are tall thin rock that protude at the bottom. The shapes are affected by the erosional patterns of alternation soft and hard layers of rock. The mineral deposited within the rock types caused these to have different colors. The site is also called Pink Valley due to the color of the chimneys there.
Unlike the other sites, Devrent has no caves or churches, but a landscape of imaginary sculptured animals famed the site.
We trekked this site for closer and wider view. Need to be cautious, you may just realized that you reached down so quickly after rolling onto the powdery pathway or by gliding your back, ouch! Sometimes, I needed to crawl and hold on to the very few grass that grows there for support. I find it more easy to walk on to the grassy surface as it can prevent shoes from slipping.

No, they are not making new dance steps here, just being cautious on their steps. |
